Built by two people who believe redemption is real
House of Debra Community Works exists because Rev. George Stoddard knows, firsthand, what it costs to be pulled out of a destructive life — and what it means to be planted into a new one.
A founder who has walked this road
Long before he was an ordained minister, recording artist, and author, Rev. George Stoddard grew up surrounded by the world of organized crime in Brooklyn, New York. His journey out of that life and into faith is chronicled in his memoir, Stolen Plates — the story of a hard road out of darkness and into redemption through Jesus Christ.
That same conviction — that no one is too far gone for God to reach — is the cornerstone of House of Debra Community Works. George founded this ministry not as a theory, but as a continuation of his own testimony: real people, walking real recovery, rooted in real faith.
Today George serves as senior minister and director of the ministry, overseeing its spiritual programming, discipleship, and day-to-day operation alongside his wife, Mwiche.
Rev. George & Mwiche Stoddard
House of Debra Community Works is led jointly by Rev. George Stoddard and his wife, Mwiche Stoddard. Together they oversee the spiritual life, daily structure, and pastoral care of every resident who comes through House of Debra's doors — treating each one not as a case number, but as a son or daughter to be restored.

A name rooted in Scripture
Debra (Deborah) was a judge, prophetess, and leader in the book of Judges — called by God in a time of crisis to lead His people back to order, courage, and faith. House of Debra Community Works carries that same calling: a house raised up to lead people out of crisis and back into a life ordered by God.
